There was a small surprise in Sakiai where seventh ranked Atletas (15-23) beat 5th ranked Vytis (21-18) 96-80. Atletas shot 60.3 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three nailing 13 long-distance shots on high 65.0 percentage. Atletas players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. Point guard Deividas Sabeckis (192-1991) notched 17 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists to lead the effort and the former international center Egidijus Dimsa (205-1985) supported him with 12 points and 8 rebounds. Four Atletas players scored in double figures. Atletas' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 21 points and 8 rebounds by Augustinas Mikstas (203-2001, agency: Octagon Europe) did not help to save the game for Vytis. Gabrielius Celka (198-2001) added 8 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists for the hosts. Atletas maintains seventh position with 15-23 record, which they share with Palanga. Vytis lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 18 games lost.
