BBL top team - ALBA Berlin (21-2) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat twelfth ranked MBC (9-14) in Weissenfels 87-77. Worth to mention a quality performance of the former international point guard Maodo Lo (191-1992, college: Columbia) who helped to win the game recording 25 points (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and New Zealand center Yannick Wetzell (206-1996, college: SDSU) who added 17 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was Martin Breunig (203-1992, college: Montana) with 13 points and 8 rebounds and American Stephon Jelks (198-1996, college: Mercer) scored 15 points and 7 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Four MBC players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. ALBA Berlin have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 21-2 record. MBC lost third consecutive game. They keep the twelfth place with 14 games lost. ALBA Berlin will play against Brose Bamberg (#8) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. MBC will play against BG Goettingen (#6) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
