There was no surprise when 8th ranked Dinamo B. (5-8) was crushed on the road by fifth ranked Craiova (5-8) 94-69 on Tuesday. The game without a history. Craiova led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot 62.7 percent from the field and made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. American point guard Cortez Edwards (188-1997, college: Southern Miss, agency: Octagon Europe) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 assists for the winners and Finnish Topias Palmi (196-1994, agency: Blacktop Management) chipped in 27 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Four Craiova players scored in double figures. Craiova's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American point guard Darnell Edge (188-1997, college: FDU) responded with 21 points, 5 assists and 4 steals and the other American import forward Donte Ingram (199-1996, college: Loyola, IL) scored 12 points. Despite that victory Craiova went down to sixth position due to points difference, which they share with Dinamo B. and Pitesti. Dinamo B. lost their fourth game in a row. Craiova will meet at home Constanta (#9) in the next round. Dinamo B. will play against the league's second-placed Cluj Napoca and hope to secure a win.
