There was a surprise result when fourteenth ranked Manisa (8-17) beat at home higher ranked Bogazici (10-15) 92-86 on Wednesday. Manisa looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. American center Tearra Banks (188-1995, college: Austin Peay) nailed a double-double by scoring 27 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side and Sule Aktas (-1998) accounted for 20 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. American forward Monique Reid (185-1990, college: Louisville) came up with a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 19 rebounds and Gunesh Karaoglan (-1997) added 18 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Bogazici in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Manisa moved-up to thirteenth place. Bogazici lost their third game in a row. Bogazici at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the ninth position with 15 games lost. Manisa will meet league's leader Tarsus in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Bogazici will have a break next round.
