Second Stage Round 3: Oberwart - Vienna 73-76

Fourth-ranked Gunners Oberwart (14-11) gave a tough game to BC Vienna (23-2) on Saturday. The visitors from Vienna managed to secure only three-point victory 76-73. However their fans expected easier game. Gunners Oberwart was trailing by 4 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 19-14 charge of BC Vienna, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great evening for the former international guard Bogic Vujosevic (192-1992) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points and 6 assists. The former international center Jozo Rados (206-1993) helped adding 17 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). Five BC Vienna players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard DJ Hanes (185-1995, college: Nebraska Chr., agency: One Motive Sports) with 28 points and the other American import forward Brock Gardner (201-1997, college: Master's, agency: Players Group) scored 14 points. BC Vienna are looking forward to face Gmunden Swans at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Gunners Oberwart will play against Dukes in Klosterneuburg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
