Regular Season Round 23: Giessen - Rhoendorf 92-99

Very predictable result when fourth ranked Dragons Rhoendorf (13-8) beat on the road 13th ranked Giessen Pointers (1-19) 99-92 on Saturday. It was a great evening for American point guard Devon Goodman (184-1997, college: Pennsylvania) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists. Florian Koch (197-1992) helped adding 22 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. American guard Jacob Ledoux (190-1997, college: UTPB) responded with 33 points (!!!) and 9 assists and naturalized Serbian Nemanja Nadjfeji (198-2000) scored 10 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Giessen Pointers' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Dragons Rhoendorf have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Frankfurt Jrs. Giessen Pointers lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with 19 games lost. Dragons Rhoendorf will meet at home Schwelm (#9) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Giessen Pointers will play against Rist Wedel (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
