There was a minor upset when 4th placed Aschersleben (15-7) was defeated on the road by seventh ranked Bargteheide (13-9) 86-81 on Saturday. American guard Jeremy Ingram (183-1991, college: AAMU) stepped up and scored 28 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and point guard Abdulai Abaker (185-1996) chipped in 14 points, 9 rebounds, 9 assists and 5 steals. At the losing side forward Julius Stahl (197-1995) responded with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and Piet Niehus (188-1998) scored 14 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists.
