Regular Season Round 21: Helios Suns - Zlatorog 85-68

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Helios Suns as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Helios Suns defeated 10th ranked Zlatorog in Domzale 85-68. The game was mostly controlled by Helios Suns. Zlatorog managed to win fourth quarter 22-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. Helios Suns looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Lenart Sirc (204-2003, agency: PEPI SPORT) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and American guard Austin Luke (191-1994, college: Belmont) chipped in 13 points and 12 assists. Four Helios Suns players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Adrio Bailey (197-1997, college: Arkansas) with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and guard Jan Copot (199-2001) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. Zlatorog's coach Ales Pipan rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Helios Suns have a solid series of four victories in a row. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Zlatorog at the other side stay at the bottom place with 16 games lost. Zlatorog will play next round against Ilirija trying to get back on the winning streak. Helios Suns will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked Rogaska in Rogaska Slatina.
