The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Istanbul: Galatasaray (#3) and Emlak (#5). Galatasaray (17-6) crushed visiting Emlak (13-10) by 22 points 90-68. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Emlak. Galatasaray looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. International center Teaira McCowan (201-1996, college: MSU) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 13 rebounds (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field). Lithuanian guard Kamile Nacickaite (181-1989, college: Drexel) contributed with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Galatasaray players scored in double figures. Canadian guard Nirra Fields (175-1993, college: UCLA) answered with 21 points and 5 rebounds and American forward Jantel Lavender (191-1988, college: Ohio St.) added 17 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Emlak. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Galatasaray maintains third place with 17-6 record despite having the same number of points like the leader Mersin. Newly promoted Emlak keeps the fifth position with ten games lost. They share it with Nesibe.
