Very expected game when 11th ranked Targoviste (2-18) was smashed on the road by seventh ranked Cluj Napoca (9-11) 69-41 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Cluj Napoca. Targoviste managed to win fourth quarter 15-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Cluj Napoca held Targoviste to an opponent 25.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 40.6 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Targoviste 53-31 including a 40-26 advantage in defensive rebounds. Cluj Napoca looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Targoviste's players. It was an exceptional evening for the former international Alexandra Uiuiu (183-1989) who led the winners and scored 22 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Cluj Napoca's coach felt very confident using entire bench and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Cristina Badi (178-1993) came up with 5 points and 14 rebounds and the former international guard Ancuta Stoenescu (175-1980) added 8 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Targoviste in the defeat. Cluj Napoca moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Targu Secuiesc. Targoviste lost their fifth game in a row. They stay dead last with 18 lost games.
