The game between closely ranked teams ended with fourth ranked Blyskavky's (12-6) home victory over 5th ranked Pereyaslav (2-10) in Vinnytsia 94-55 on Sunday. The game without a history. Blyskavky led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Pereyaslav's 30. Blyskavky forced 25 Pereyaslav turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Pereyaslav's players. Forward Violetta Ostapchuk (170-2005) notched 29 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort and Larysa Stadnik (185-1992, agency: BIG) supported her with 16 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks. Four Blyskavky players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 32 points and 11 rebounds by forward Anna Yarosh (180-2005) did not help to save the game for Pereyaslav. Forward Tetyana Bashtova (179-1993) added 17 points and 6 rebounds. Pereyaslav's coach Alla Bikova gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Blyskavky have an impressive six-game winning streak. Newly promoted Blyskavky maintains fourth position with 12-6 record. Pereyaslav at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fifth place with ten games lost. Blyskavky will meet league's second-placed Interkhim in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Pereyaslav will play against KIVS SBK and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
