The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Turk Telekom as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Turk Telekom defeated 9th ranked Manisa in Ankara 98-84. 25 personal fouls committed by Manisa helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American power forward Tyrique Jones (206-1997, college: Xavier, agency: Pensack Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). His fellow American import guard Jerian Grant (196-1992, college: Notre Dame) chipped in 17 points and 5 assists. Turk Telekom's coach Erdem Can used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Mexican guard Francisco Cruz (191-1989, college: Wyoming) who recorded 24 points and 4 assists and Nigerian-American power forward OD Anosike (203-1991, college: Siena) added 11 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Five Turk Telekom and four Manisa players scored in double figures. Turk Telekom (18-3) have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Fenerbahce. Newly promoted Manisa dropped to the tenth place with 13 games lost. They share the position with Petkim and Bahcesehir. Manisa will play next round against Merkezefendi trying to get back on the winning streak. Turk Telekom will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked Pinar Karsiyaka in Izmir.
