There was no surprise in Nuernberg where 13th ranked Falcons (11-16) were defeated by second ranked Tigers (20-7) 105-98 on Sunday. Tigers made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was naturalized Croatian Mateo Seric (204-1999) who scored 21 points and 6 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). American Zac Seljaas (203-1997, college: BYU) chipped in 17 points. Tigers' coach Daniel Jansson used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Rocky Kreuser (206-1999, college: NDSU) who recorded 26 points and 8 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) and center Moritz Krimmer (202-2000) added 21 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Four Tigers and five Falcons players scored in double figures. Tigers maintains second place with 20-7 record having just two points less than leader Vechta. Falcons lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with 16 games lost. Tigers will meet at home Leverkusen (#17) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Falcons will play against 46ers (#7) in Giessen and hope to secure a win.
