Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Sibiu (6-8) and Timisoara (4-10), which took place in Timisoara. Higher ranked Sibiu lost to ninth ranked Timisoara in a road game 79-92 on Monday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Sibiu. The game was mostly controlled by Timisoara. Sibiu managed to win fourth quarter 22-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Serbian point guard Ilija Djokovic (191-1996) notched 25 points and 4 assists to lead the effort and Serbian forward Adam Mirkovic (199-1991) supported him with 21 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Timisoara maintains ninth position with 4-10 record. Loser Sibiu keeps the fifth place with eight games lost. They share the position with Craiova. Timisoara will meet league's second-placed Cluj Napoca on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Sibiu will play against Voluntari and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
