No shocking result in a game in Eisenstadt where seventh ranked UBSC Graz (14-12) defeated bottom-ranked Nord Dragonz (5-21) 75-70 on Wednesday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Nord Dragonz won fourth quarter 21-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. UBSC Graz forced 22 Nord Dragonz turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The game was dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Zach Cooks (175, college: Hofstra) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 assists and forward Tanner Giddings (208-1994, college: Chico St.) who added 17 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side guard Kyran McClure (188-1996, college: St.Leo) responded with 32 points and 5 assists and forward Nick Allen (203-1997, college: UTSA) scored 7 points and 11 rebounds. UBSC Graz have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain seventh position with 14-12 record. Nord Dragonz lost eighth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay dead last with 21 lost games. UBSC Graz will meet at home Kapfenberg Bulls (#8) in the next round. Nord Dragonz will play against Furstenfeld Panthers (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
