Regular Season Round 20: Perkunas - Zalgiris II 94-98

There was no surprise in Kaunas where 10th ranked Perkunas (4-17) was defeated by eighth ranked Zalgiris II (10-11) 98-94 on Wednesday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Zalgiris II forced 20 Perkunas turnovers. The best player for the winners was forward Augustas Navickas (190-2005) who had a double-double by scoring 31 points, 20 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals. Liutauras Serkevicius (-2005) chipped in 24 points and 5 assists. Zalgiris II's coach Arunas Visockas allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Martynas Mejaras (-2005) produced a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 17 rebounds and Justas Stasaitis (-2005) added 25 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Zalgiris II maintains eighth position with 10-11 record. Perkunas lost tenth consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with 17 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
