Very expected game when 11th ranked Patriotes (3-16) was smashed on the road by third ranked Vilniaus univ. (17-3) 84-32 on Wednesday. Vilniaus univ. forced 24 Patriotes turnovers and outrebounded them 48-32 including a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Vilniaus univ. looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Patriotes' players. Center Emilija Grigaliunaite (190-2002) notched a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds to lead the effort and guard Agne Bobinaite (181-1997) supported her with 28 points. Even 10 points and 6 rebounds by point guard Agne Valkiuniene (160-1982) did not help to save the game for Patriotes. Point guard Jurgita Segzdaite (165-1989) added 5 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Vilniaus univ. have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Alytaus. Loser Patriotes keeps the eleventh position with 16 games lost.
