Regular Season Round 23: Mamak - Mersin 82-95

No shocking result in a game in Ankara where second ranked Mersin (19-3) defeated 9th ranked Mamak (10-13) 95-82 on Saturday. Mersin made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for American guard Tobin Carberry (193-1991, college: LIU Post) who led his team to a victory scoring 15 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Ogulcan Baykan (196-1996) helped adding 16 points and 6 assists. Carberry is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American point guard Myles Mack (178-1993, college: Rutgers) responded with 15 points, 9 assists and 4 steals and the other American import Carlton Bragg Jr (208-1995, college: N.Mexico) scored 15 points. Five Mersin and four Mamak players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Mersin. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Cagdas BS. Mamak lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the ninth place with 13 games lost.
