Very expected game when 16th ranked Konyaspor (6-16) lost at home to fourth ranked Efes (16-6) 99-83 on Saturday. Efes made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 19 long-distance shots on high 57.6 percentage. Efes looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Senegalese-French Amath MBaye (205-1989, college: Oklahoma) notched 23 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international guard Ahmet Tuncer (193-1993) supported him with 13 points and 8 assists. Efes' coach Ergin Ataman used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 28 points and 6 rebounds by Nigerian-American Rasheed Sulaimon (193-1994, college: Maryland) did not help to save the game for Konyaspor. Mexican-American point guard Alexander Perez-Kaufmann (191-1993, agency: Pro Sports) added 18 points and 5 assists for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Efes moved-up to third place, which they share with Pinar Karsiyaka. Konyaspor lost eighth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with 16 games lost.
