There was an upset when higher ranked Coburg (13-10) lost to ninth ranked Kangaroos (9-13) in Diedorf 88-92 on Saturday. The winners were led by point guard Lucas Mayer (185-1999) who scored that evening 26 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and Bosnian Stjepan Topalovic (200-1998) supported him with 24 points. Even a double-double of 19 points and 10 rebounds by Croatian-Austrian center Leon Bulic (211-2001, agency: Octagon Europe) did not help to save the game for Coburg. Spanish point guard Jose Carrasco (185-1994) added 21 points and 4 assists (went 11 for 11 at the free throw line !!!). Newly promoted Kangaroos maintains ninth position with 9-13 record, which they share with Schwelm. Loser Coburg keeps the fourth place with ten games lost. Kangaroos will meet Ludwigsburg (#12) on the road in the next round. Coburg will have a break next round.
