BSL top team - BC Vienna (24-3) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fifth ranked UBC St. Poelten (13-14) in St.Poelten 100-70. The game without a history. BC Vienna led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to UBC St. Poelten's 24. BC Vienna players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Serbian forward Stefan Savic (200-1995) stepped up and scored 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and Canadian guard Jahenns-Ley Manigat (186-1991, college: Creighton) chipped in 13 points and 7 assists. Iranian-German point guard Philip Jalalpoor (188-1993, college: UBC, agency: Blacktop Management) responded with 18 points and 5 rebounds and American guard Mike Holton Jr (186-1990, college: St.Michael's) scored 16 points and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. UBC St. Poelten's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Defending champion maintains first place with 24-3 record. UBC St. Poelten at the other side keeps the fifth position with 14 games lost. BC Vienna will play against Raiffeisen Flyers Wels (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. UBC St. Poelten will play against Dukes and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
