Regular Season Round 28: Duesseldorf - Muenster 93-82
Date: March 26, 2023
We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when sixteenth ranked Duesseldorf (9-18) beat at home 15th ranked Muenster (10-18) 93-82 on Sunday. Duesseldorf looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Canadian-Guyanese point guard Ryan Richmond (183-1996, college: Bentley, agency: SLN) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 7 assists and American guard CJ Anderson (197-1996, college: UMass, agency: One Motive Sports) who added 20 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Four Duesseldorf players scored in double figures. At the losing side the former international center Andreas Seiferth (209-1989) responded with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his seven free throws) and American guard Connor Harding (200-1998, college: Utah Valley) scored 20 points and 5 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Duesseldorf maintains sixteenth position with 9-18 record. Muenster at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the fourteenth place with 18 games lost. They share the position with Jena. Duesseldorf will meet higher ranked Science City Jena (#14) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Muenster will play against SparkassenStars and hope to secure a win.
