Regular Season Round 21: Plunges - Tornado KM 69-63

We should mention about the upset which took place in Plunge, where higher ranked Tornado KM (11-9) lost to twelfth ranked Plunges (4-16) in a road game 63-69. Tornado KM was ahead by 12 points after three quarters before a 21-3 charge of Plunges, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Tornado KM to just 3 points in fourth quarter. It was a good game for point guard Nojus Radzius (182-2005) who led his team to a victory with 23 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Pijus Dobilas (-2005) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Armandas Bancevicius (-2006) answered with 19 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Jokubas Riskus (178-2005) added 9 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists in the effort for Tornado KM. Plunges moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Birzu. Tornado KM at the other side keeps the sixth position with nine games lost. Plunges will play against higher ranked Zalgiris (#3) in Kaunas in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Tornado KM's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kaunas to the arena Zalgiris II.
