Everything went according to plan when sixth ranked Dacka (11-11) defeated 11th ranked Acibadem (8-14) in Istanbul 84-79 on Monday. Dacka made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. British center Gabriel Olaseni (211-1991, college: Iowa) notched 19 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and the former international point guard Dogus Ozdemiroglu (191-1996) supported him with 11 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Four Dacka players scored in double figures. Even 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists by French center Jerry Boutsiele (207-1992) did not help to save the game for Acibadem. American guard Jamar Smith (191-1987, college: S.Indiana, agency: Inception Sports) added 18 points and 6 assists for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Dacka maintains sixth position with 11-11 record. Acibadem lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with 14 games lost. They share the position with Tofas and Petkim.
