Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Kaunas: Tornado KM (#6) and Zalgiris II (#8). Zalgiris II was defeated at home 70-78 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. The guests were already 11 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 23-20 Zalgiris II's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 78-70 at the end of the game. Armandas Bancevicius (-2006) scored 7 points and 17 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Edvinas Bublys (181-2005) chipped in 18 points during the contest. Tornado KM's coach Sarunas Zablockis used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side Martynas Petrauskas (-2005) responded with 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and Elvinas Raciunas (-2005) scored 15 points. Four Zalgiris II players scored in double figures. Tornado KM maintains sixth position with 13-9 record. Zalgiris II at the other side keeps the eighth place with 12 games lost.
