Regular Season Round 25: Cherkasy - Kyiv Basket 63-78

There was no surprise when 7th ranked Cherkasy (7-23) lost at home to fourth ranked Kyiv Basket (21-8) 78-63 on Thursday. The game was mostly controlled by Kyiv Basket. Cherkasy managed to win third quarter 18-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Cherkasy 44-28 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. The winners were led by swingman Anton Musiyenko (192-1997) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 10 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Vadim Zaplotinskiy (200-1997, agency: BIG) supported him with 18 points and 6 rebounds. Four Kyiv Basket players scored in double figures. Even 26 points and 7 rebounds by American BJ Maxwell (194-1997, college: IUPUI, agency: SLN) did not help to save the game for Cherkasy. Nikita Ruslov (195-1996, agency: BIG) added 14 points and 4 assists. Kyiv Basket have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with BIPA O.
