The game between third ranked Skyliners II (14-9) and fifth ranked Loewen (13-11) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Skyliners II was defeated by Loewen in a tough game in Frankfurt 90-95. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Skyliners II. Loewen shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 53.3 percentage. Ivorian-French Guy Landry Edi (198-1988, college: Gonzaga) stepped up and scored 32 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) for the winners and American Tyseem Lyles (185-1992, college: Mercy) chipped in 26 points. At the losing side Nolan Adekunle (200-2002) responded with 30 points and 5 rebounds and Felix Hecker (193-1998) scored 17 points. Skyliners II's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Loewen maintains fifth place with 13-11 record. Skyliners II at the other side keeps the third position with nine games lost. Loewen will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Skyliners II will play on the road against Ehingen/Urspringschule in Allmendingen and is hoping to win this game.
