Regular Season Round 25: Iserlohn - Herford 104-81

Everything went according to plan in Iserlohn where ninth ranked Kangaroos (11-12) outscored 12th ranked Herford (3-20) 104-81 on Saturday. Kangaroos dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Herford's 40. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American guard Michael Cubbage (193-1998, college: SFC) fired 25 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Samuel Mpacko (187-1998) chipped in 14 points and 4 assists. Filmore Beck (190-1991) produced 20 points and 4 assists and naturalized American Shawn Gulley (200-1993, college: Temple JC) added 13 points and 11 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Kangaroos and five Herford players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kangaroos moved-up to eighth place, which they share with TKS 49ers. Newly promoted Herford keeps the twelfth position with 20 games lost. Kangaroos will meet league's leader SSV Lok Bernau on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Herford will play against Giessen Pointers (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
