Regular Season Round 25: Cherno More - Rilski 74-108

NBL top team - Rilski (22-3) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed tenth ranked Cherno More (6-18) in Varna 108-74. They outrebounded Cherno More 42-24 including a 28-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Rilski players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. The former international Chavdar Kostov (196-1988, agency: BIG) stepped up and scored 20 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and American guard Brandon Randolph (187-1995, college: Utah Valley) chipped in 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. At the losing side power forward Martin Jordanov (207-2002, agency: BIG) responded with 16 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and guard Kostadin Lazarov (193-2000, agency: BIG) scored 14 points and 7 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Rilski maintains first place with 22-3 record. Cherno More lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 18 games lost. Rilski will play against Beroe (#7) in Stara Zagora in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Cherno More will play on the road against Spartak Pleven and hopes to get back on the winning track.
