We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when eighth ranked ratiopharm Ulm (14-11) beat on the road 7th ranked BG Goettingen (13-9) 108-101 on Saturday. ratiopharm Ulm looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Brazilian point guard Yago Matheus (175-1999) scored 24 points and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Josh Hawley (201-1996, college: Tarleton St.) chipped in 21 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) during the contest. American Javon Bess (198-1996, college: St.Louis) responded with 24 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) and Norwegian point guard Harald Frey (188-1997, college: Montana St.) scored 17 points and 6 assists. Five ratiopharm Ulm and four BG Goettingen players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. ratiopharm Ulm moved-up to sixth place.
