The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Despite that victory Pitesti went down to sixth position due to points difference, which they share with Craiova. Voluntari at the other side keeps the fourth place with eight games lost. Pitesti will play against Timisoara (#8) on the road in the next round. Voluntari will play against the league's second-placed Cluj Napoca (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
