No shocking result in a game when thirteenth ranked Falcons (13-16) beat bottom-ranked Schwenningen (5-23) in Nuernberg 85-73 on Saturday. Falcons shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 53.8 percentage. American point guard Thomas Wilder (190-1995, college: W.Michigan) nailed 12 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists for the winning side and Sebastian Schroeder (195-1988) accounted for 17 points and 7 rebounds. Falcons' coach Vytautas Buzas used a ten-player rotation saving starting five for next games. Jacob Knauf (210-1997) came up with 23 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and Badu Buck (195-1999) added 15 points respectively for Schwenningen in the defeat. Five Falcons and four Schwenningen players scored in double figures. Falcons moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Bochum and Kirchheim. Schwenningen lost eighth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 23 lost games. Falcons will meet Leverkusen (#17) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Schwenningen will play against Kirchheim Knights and hope to secure a win.
