The game was mostly controlled by Keravnos. APOP managed to win fourth quarter 27-25. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding APOP to just 6 points in third quarter. They outrebounded APOP 43-24 including a 35-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Keravnos looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by APOP's players. Ukrainian Olexandr Mishula (192-1992) stepped up and scored 24 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and the former international point guard Filippos Tigkas (184-2002) chipped in 12 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. Five Keravnos players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard JaQualyn Gilbreath (188-1998, college: TWU) responded with 24 points and the other American import Jalen Seegars (196, college: Fayetteville St.) scored 8 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
