Second Stage Round 7: Herlev - Naestved 59-103

The game in Herlev supposed to be also quite interesting. Third ranked Naestved (21-6) played at the court of 6th ranked Herlev (11-16). Naestved smashed Herlev 103-59 on Sunday. Naestved shot 60.6 percent from the field. Naestved had a 29-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 51.7 percentage. Naestved looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Ian DuBose (193-1999, college: Wake Forest) who led the winners and scored 23 points and 5 assists (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!). His fellow American import guard Rodney Chatman (189-1998, college: Vanderbilt) accounted for 11 points and 10 assists for the winning side. Five Naestved players scored in double figures. Point guard Andreas Mortensen (190-2001) came up with 17 points and 4 assists and the former international forward Marqus Marion (204-2004) added 13 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Herlev in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Naestved maintains third place with 21-6 record having just twelve point less than leader Randers. Herlev lost tenth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 16 games lost. Naestved will meet at home league's leader Randers in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Herlev will play against Svendborg (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
