There was a small surprise when sixteenth ranked Duesseldorf (10-18) edged on the road 14th ranked Science City Jena (10-19) 81-78 on Sunday. Duesseldorf made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. American guard Booker Coplin (191-1997, college: Augsburg) nailed 22 points for the winning side and forward Melkisedek Moreaux (198-1996, college: Mercyhurst) accounted for 10 points and 5 rebounds. Naturalized American Sergio Kerusch (195-1989, college: WKU) came up with 17 points and 7 rebounds and American center Alex Herrera (206-1992, college: Fort Lewis) added 14 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Science City Jena in the defeat. Four Science City Jena players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Duesseldorf moved-up to fifteenth place. Science City Jena lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the sixteenth position with 19 games lost.
