There was a surprise result when twelfth ranked Yalova Vip (10-18) edged at home higher ranked Kirklareli (17-11) 67-66 on Monday. The best player for the winners was Miray Uzunoglu who scored 22 points and 6 assists. Center Basak Altunbey (189-1996) chipped in 19 points and 8 rebounds. The former international Saynur Tozlu (189-1986) produced 3 points, 22 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals and guard Rabia Celebi (167-1985) added 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Yalova Vip moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Manisa and Emlak 2. Newly promoted Kirklareli keeps the fifth position with 11 games lost. Yalova Vip will meet league's second-placed Fenerbahce G. in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
