No shocking result in a game when second ranked Interkhim (20-2) crushed 6th ranked KIVS SBK (6-13) in Odessa 85-51 on Monday. The game without a history. Interkhim led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding KIVS SBK to just 5 points in third quarter. Interkhim held KIVS SBK to an opponent 25.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 51.3 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded KIVS SBK 42-31 including a 32-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Interkhim looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by KIVS SBK's players. It was an exceptional evening for the former international center Yevgeniya MBaye (192-1992) who led the winners and scored 20 points and 9 rebounds. The victory was the fifteenth consecutive win for Interkhim. They maintain second place with 20-2 record having just two points less than leader Kyiv Basket. KIVS SBK lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the sixth position with 13 games lost. Interkhim will meet Sumy (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. KIVS SBK will play against Veneto-Cherkasy and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
