Important game to mention about took place in Bucuresti. Third ranked Agronomia (6-3) saved a 2-point victory at home edging second-best Rm Valcea II (7-2) 80-78 on Monday evening. Rm Valcea II was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Agronomia players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Forward Adrian Movileanu (195-1993, agency: BIG) nailed 13 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and center Andrei Vizitiu (201-1986) accounted for 12 points and 7 rebounds. Four Agronomia players scored in double figures. American guard Lamar Hamrick (193-1998, college: Portland St., agency: Haylett Sports) came up with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 13 rebounds and Anton Rotaru (188-2002) added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for Rm Valcea II in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Agronomia have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain third place with 6-3 record behind leader Phoenix Corona. Newly promoted Rm Valcea II still keeps top position with two games lost. Agronomia will play against Craiova 2 (#6) on the road in the next round. Rm Valcea II will play against Politehnica Iasi (#4) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
