We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when eighth ranked Vaerlose (11-15) defeated on the road 7th ranked Copenhagen (11-15) 79-75. The winners were led by guard Adam Heede-Andersen (187-1996, college: St.Cloud St.) who scored that evening 14 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and point guard Asbjorn Nerlov (195-1998) supported him with 14 points. Four Vaerlose players scored in double figures. Vaerlose's coach Mathias Madsen allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even a double-double of 13 points and 14 rebounds by American center Durell Vinson (201-1985, college: Wagner) did not help to save the game for Copenhagen. Center Laurits Halstad (209-2003) added 12 points and 15 rebounds for the hosts. Vaerlose moved-up to seventh place, which they share with defeated Copenhagen. Vaerlose will play against bottom-ranked Holbaek (#11) at home in the next round. Copenhagen will play against Amager (#10) in Kastrup and hopes to get back on the winning track.
