Regular Season Round 22: Saule - VKM 78-86

Round 22 most important game was a victory of VKM over 5th ranked Saule 86-78 on Tuesday night. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Saule won fourth quarter 20-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Saule 51-40 including a 37-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Titas Pundinas (175-2005) who helped to win the game recording 29 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. Swingman Arturas Vilutis (193-2005) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Four VKM players scored in double figures. Point guard Deividas Zukauskas (162-2005) replied with 23 points and 6 rebounds and Joris Kacinskas (-2005) added 15 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Saule. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. VKM maintains fourth position with 15-7 record. Saule at the other side keeps the fifth place with eight games lost.
