Very expected game in Stara Zagora where 7th ranked Beroe (12-14) was defeated by first ranked Rilski (23-3) 114-100 on Wednesday. Rilski shot 62.1 percent from the field. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Beroe's players. The best player for the winners was the former international Chavdar Kostov (196-1988, agency: BIG) who scored 26 points and 4 assists. The former international point guard Deyan Karamfilov (180-1994, agency: BIG) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 assists. American swingman Darious Hall (201-1997, college: Cent Arkansas) produced 22 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and his fellow American import guard Kelsey Barlow (196-1991, college: UIC) added 20 points respectively for the hosts. Five Rilski and four Beroe players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Rilski maintains first position with 23-3 record. Loser Beroe keeps the seventh place with 14 games lost. Rilski will meet Akademik P. (#8) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Beroe will play against CSKA in Sofia and hope to secure a win.
