Regular Season Round 30: Giessen - Tuebingen 94-91

The most exciting game of round 30 in the ProA took place in Giessen. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of second-best Tigers (22-8) to fifth ranked 46ers (18-12) 94-91 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Tigers. 46ers dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Tigers' 36. 46ers forced 22 Tigers turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. 27 personal fouls committed by Tigers helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Serbian forward Stefan Fundic (200-1994) had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 14 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and American point guard Jordan Barnes (178-1997, college: Indiana St.) chipped in 20 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American Zac Seljaas (203-1997, college: BYU) with 39 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds and Finnish point guard Aatu Kivimaki (185-1997, agency: Blacktop Management) scored 16 points and 6 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. 46ers maintains fifth position with 18-12 record. Tigers at the other side keep the second place with eight games lost. 46ers are looking forward to face Science City Jena (#16) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Tigers will have a break next round.
