There was no surprise when 9th ranked Kangaroos (11-13) were defeated on the road by first ranked SSV Lok Bernau (21-3) 99-84 on Saturday. SSV Lok Bernau outrebounded Kangaroos 39-24 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Point guard Elias Rapieque (200-2004) had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Rikus Schulte (206-2004) chipped in 23 points and 6 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) during the contest. Croatian-Bosnian Marko Boksic (203-1993, agency: PEPI SPORT) responded with 21 points and 4 assists and American guard Michael Cubbage (193-1998, college: SFC) scored 13 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
