BBL top team - ALBA Berlin (25-2) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat eighth ranked BG Goettingen (14-11) 91-78. ALBA Berlin made 23-of-27 charity shots (85.2 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. ALBA Berlin brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. BG Goettingen was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for the former international Johannes Thiemann (206-1994) who led his team to a victory scoring 14 points. ALBA Berlin will play against Hamburg Towers (#14) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. BG Goettingen will play against EnBW Ludwigsburg (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
