There was a minor upset in Vienna where 8th ranked Kapfenberg Bulls (15-16) were defeated by tenth ranked Timberwolves (10-21) 72-63 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 9 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 9 points. The best player for the winners was American center Chris Vogt (213-1999, college: Wisconsin) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 15 rebounds. The former international guard Jakob Szkutta (188-1999) chipped in 14 points and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American center Brad Greene (210-1998, college: UC Irvine) who recorded a double-double by scoring 25 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and Montenegrin Milos Latkovic (196-1993) added 6 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists respectively. Timberwolves maintains tenth place with 10-21 record. Kapfenberg Bulls at the other side keep the eighth position with 16 games lost. Timberwolves will meet higher ranked Arkadia Lions (#9) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Kapfenberg Bulls will play against UBSC Graz and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
