Regular Season Round 24: Cagdas BS - Bornova 80-60

No shocking result in a game in Mugla where first ranked Cagdas BS (21-3) smashed 15th ranked Bornova (8-17) 80-60 on Sunday. Worth to mention a great performance of Hakan Yapar (202-1984) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 8 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and American point guard Chris Warren (177-1988, college: Ole Miss) who added 19 points and 7 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was Efe Sarica (190-2002) with 14 points and 6 rebounds and American power forward Brandon Huffman (208-1998, college: JSU) scored 9 points and 12 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Cagdas BS have an impressive eight-game winning streak. Newly promoted Cagdas BS maintains first position with 21-3 record. Bornova at the other side dropped to the fourteenth place with 17 games lost. Cagdas BS will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Bornova will play against Gemlik (#15) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
