Very predictable result in Klaipeda where second ranked Rytas (21-5) defeated 8th ranked Neptunas (11-15) 90-86 on Monday. Rytas made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was the former international Gytis Masiulis (206-1998) who scored 19 points and 8 rebounds. American guard Marcus Foster (191-1995, college: Creighton) chipped in 20 points and 4 assists. Four Rytas players scored in double figures. Center Oskaras Pleikys (202-2001, agency: BIG) produced 17 points and 8 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and swingman Matas Jogela (201-1998) added 8 points and 6 assists respectively for the hosts. Rytas have an impressive six-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains second position with 21-5 record behind leader Zalgiris. Loser Neptunas keeps the eighth place with 15 games lost. They share the position with Siauliai. Rytas will meet league's leader Zalgiris in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Neptunas will play against Siauliai (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
