LKL top team - Zalgiris (22-4) had no problems winning another game on Monday. This time they crushed ninth ranked Siauliai (11-15) in Kaunas 84-60. Zalgiris shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 51.7 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international point guard Lukas Lekavicius (180-1994) who scored 7 points and 8 rebounds. The former international Edgaras Ulanovas (199-1992) chipped in 12 points. The former international point guard Donatas Sabeckis (197-1992) produced 5 points and 7 assists and Serbian center Radoslav Pekovic (215-1994) added 8 points and 4 assists respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Zalgiris have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 22-4 record. Loser Siauliai dropped to the eighth place with 15 games lost. They share the position with Neptunas. Zalgiris will meet at home league's second-placed Rytas in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
