BBL top team - ALBA Berlin (27-2) added another victory to their record. This time they beat twelfth ranked Chemnitz (11-17) 76-70. ALBA Berlin made 16-of-21 charity shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Chemnitz was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by the former international Louis Olinde (205-1998) who scored that evening 17 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and American Luke Sikma (202-1989, college: Portland) supported him with 9 points and 8 rebounds. Even 17 points and 6 rebounds by Kevin Yebo (207-1996) did not help to save the game for Chemnitz. Lithuanian point guard Arnas Velicka (195-1999) added 20 points and 4 assists for lost side. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. ALBA Berlin have an impressive nine-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 27-2 record. Chemnitz at the other side keeps the twelfth place with 17 games lost. ALBA Berlin will play against Braunschweig (#16) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Chemnitz will play against Bayreuth (#18) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
