Rather expected game when 15th ranked Duesseldorf (11-20) was defeated on the road by twelfth ranked Kirchheim Knights (15-16) 90-81 on Wednesday. Kirchheim Knights made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for American guard Michael Flowers (185-1999, college: WSU) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points and 6 assists. His fellow American import point guard Richard Williams Jr (178-1987, college: SDSU) helped adding 17 points, 7 assists and 4 steals. At the losing side forward Melkisedek Moreaux (198-1996, college: Mercyhurst) responded with 15 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Booker Coplin (191-1997, college: Augsburg) scored 13 points and 6 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Duesseldorf's coach Florian Flabb rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the third consecutive win for Kirchheim Knights. They moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Bochum. Newly promoted Duesseldorf keeps the fifteenth position with 20 games lost. Kirchheim Knights will meet SparkassenStars (#11) in the next round. Duesseldorf will play against the league's leader Rasta Vechta (#1) having rather not much hope for a victory.
